This reminds me of when my mom was dealing with a cancer she would not survive and her body was wasting away. She always had a great sense of humor, even if it was odd sometimes and she was never afraid to shock people.
I called her one day near the Halloween holiday and she said someone had asked her what she was going to be for Halloween. I said, "what did you tell them?" She replied, "a corpse," and she added, "I wish we were having a costume contest, because I know I would win."
