MARY, MARY QUITE CONTRARY, HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW??

Well, that depends on who you ask and the jury is still out on the Topsy Turvy:
  1. The cherry tomatoes exploded this week - small but numerous and full of flavor.
  2. The beefeaters (hmmm beefeaters) are doing well but are still weeks away from picking.
  3. There is one green bell pepper from two plants. The plants seem to have stopped growing but one plant now has several flowers.
  4. The cucumbers have had it. Thank goodness for neighbors.

Week 1: June 21st

Week 2: June 27th

Week 4: July 7th with Tramp

Week 5: The cuck's have had it but look at that bell pepper.

The cherry tomatoes are now reaching the ground and are thriving. I lost some leaves because it needed water.

  1. I wish I could grow stuff but I'm not buying a house in this market with my current job anytime soon.

    Those tomatoes look nice!

  3. My topsy turveys got a late start, as did my whole garden. So I have tons of green tomatoes, just no red ones.

With the heat I've found I had to water mine twice aday or they'd dry up.

  4. As a tomato grower, I am intrigued by those upside down things. It looks like it works. this makes sense, because tomatoes are really a vine plant. perhaps I should try one, here in the heat of Arizona.

  5. I, too, am intrigued by the upside-down tomatoes. I've never seen this. Very cool. Do you think it can be done with any variety?

  7. We never have luck with peppers. I gave up on them a few years ago. Everything else seems to do fine.
