HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY TO MISS TRUVY

It was eight years ago today when I walked into the DC Animal Rescue Center and saw you there. You were so cute making eyes at everyone, begging for attention and offering tailwags and love in return. Then your lunch came and all bets were off (still are at dinner time) - I left you to eat and I went to checkout your fellow inmates. When I came back, you were curled up in a ball, peacefully sleeping amidst the chaos of barking dogs and cage banging strangers. It was at that moment that I knew we were meant to be together.

My friends all say that you won the puppy lottery the day I brought you home but it was really me who won. Happy Birthday!

It was a dark and stormy night (it really was) when you ran into Grandma's kitchen and into our lives. You rescued yourself from people who abused you and didn't love you. It's been a wonderful 6 years. We love you!

Very well done. A return to form after the crap that was HBP. My only complaint is that it even at 2.5 hours for half the book, it still seems like a cliff notes version - especially the ending.

Do we really have to wait until July?

Chicago had slim pick'ns this week so we have lots of bad hair we have our first Mother/Daughter combo. I thought at first it was her a few years later but the name are different. Sorry to say the future doesn't look bright for her not so little girl.
