PERFECT TIMING

Yesterday, the Tired Old Queen at the Movies posted his review of Sining in the Rain. This provided me the perfect opportunity to post this VW commercial. It took several viewings before I realized that the men were Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor. It's quick, enjoyable and the progression of technology continues to amaze me. This more so than, say, Avatar.

  3. It's very impressive what can be done with technology nowadays. I really like the car and the commercial.

  4. "Sinning" in the rain? Perhaps. I saw that commercial with the superimposed head of Donald O"Conner and Gene Kelly, two of the least sexy dancers I've ever seen on the silver screen. I have a different take on this practice of dragging the dead out for one more performance. I actually don't like it. The poor guys, they must be rolling over in their graves.

  5. The use of dead celebrities to push products without their consent is disturbing to me. It sullies their legacies...

  6. PDC (pretty darned cool). Interesting about the issue raised by Ron and Propsero; I hadn't thought about it.

But Gene Kelley had great legs! (his real ones, but the ones in the commercial ain't bad, either).
