A DOGABLY PAWFECT SATURDAY

Let's see a cat do this!

K-9 units serving in combat have made the news this week when it was announced that the Squids from SEAL Team 6 who killed Osama bin Laden took a dog with them on the mission.
More and more the military is coming to rely upon war dogs in combat and the Marine Corps in particular has a long and storied history with them dating back to World War II and the fight against Japan in the Pacific theater.

Navy SEAL Mike Forsythe and Cara.  They hold the world man-dog parachute altitude record — 30,100 feet.

I don't know about dogs jumping out of planes and helicopters... but as companions, I have no doubt that they keep men in combat sane.

I know they must be a great comfort to the soldiers.
