BOYCOT LOWE'S

After reading this post in Joe.My.God. about Lowe's pulling it's advertising from TLC's American Muslim (and else where) I sent the following to Lowe's:
I'm an American of Irish/Catholic descent and I object to you pulling your advertising from TLC's American Muslim because a few bigots complained so I am boycotting Lowe's. I am not a bigot/racist or prejudiced and I will not support a company that is. I will be requesting my friends, family and people I meet to do the same. If you cave to the prejudiced views of one group, who will be next?

Here's the not-so-easy to find link and if you blog and support complaining to Lowe's, please use my post. Lowe's Corporate

  3. Sent them an email, too. Sad, because I so prefer them to Home Depot...

  4. This should be no problem. I've never shopped at Lowe's and I have no reason to either. I love doing business with Home Depot.

  5. I also sent them a letter after reading the JMG post.
Lowe's is closer to my house, but I'd rather drive to Home Depot.

  6. Oh No! I'm running out of options. Can't go to Home Depot becasue of the way I was treated there several years ago. Now I can't go to Lowe's. I guess I'm stuck with the smaller more expensive local Hardware store and lumber yard.
It's getting expensive being politically aware/involved.

  8. God Bless you for your liberal social activism. You see an injustice and you feel you have to correct it. I hope you spend weeks and months protesting this horrible injustice !

As for me I'm going to continue shopping at Lowe's. I could care less about whether they sponsor a TV show about muslims or not. We have far bigger problems in this country.

  9. Anonymous - Yes we do have problems and if we ignore them they just grow, like Anonymous posters who lack the courage of their convictions/comments or at least the ability to make a fake blogger profile.

  10. Sean...What difference does it make to you whether I post a comment under anonymous or another fake name. I do have the courage of my convictions. Thats why I posted the comment. Not everyone agrees with your activist views. I have a right to say this issue doesnt rise to the level where I should get involved.
