Then, when Making Love came out, I was determined to see it, not so much for him (but he helped) and a 2.5 mile walk in about 5 inches of snow wasn't and didn't stop me. I went to that movie three times and have since watched it countless times. Harry Hamlin was pretty hot but he didn't and never did it for me.
Michael has aged very, very well and has been in several other favorites/notable roles including an infamous strip scene in Slap Shot, as the Sheriff in Twin Peaks, Postcards from the Edge and Just the Way You Are.

I had a crush on him as well.
Loved him...can't believe I lost track. He was super hot in Making Love, and I agree...Harry Hamlin does nothing for me.

It's a shame that "Making Love" is such a terrible movie. They were both so hot and at their primes.
Have to say that movie, "Making Love" change me so much when I was a teenager. I did nt know that men could feel that a way towards other Men. I thougth you just had sex with them and left it as that. Love the movie.

I'm proud to say I own Slap Shot on DVD and he was so good in that movie.
LOVE Michael Ontkean! I also prefer him over Harry Hamlin in Making Love.
