John made his first big mark as the DJ in Northern Exposure in 1990 and then went on to Sex In The City, 2002's My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Sex in the City 2 (movie), United States of Tara and recently in NBC's Parenthood. He's had numerous rolls throughout and is one of the most recognizable voice over announcers working today. He's been with girlfriend Bo Derek since 2002 and is 51.

I loved him in Northern Exposure and every voice over I hear makes me think of that wonderful show.
And I think he is from Wheeling, WV, too.
