  1. THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS
    1. Which religion or faith do you belong to, if any?

Not attached to a religion but very spiritual. I was raised in various Protestant sects from Southern Baptist to Methodist to Unitarian. I subscribe to the idea of a Divine (and not just the movie star) and believe that however we touch upon faith, we are touching upon the truth. And that includes secularism, humanism and atheism.

    2. What is your opinion of seasonal greetings and salutations?

If they are given as an expression of joy, I gladly accept them and hand them out. For a short time, there is a concentration of people willing to wish well for others - even if it's only an empty gesture, I think it has value.

    3. Holiday music on the radio?

I love it. Especially when I'm driving. Alone. So I can sing without interruption or judgement.

    4. What is your policy for exchanging gifts?

I love to give gifts. As a family, we focus on parents and kids.

    5. Gift cards are...

Convenient and, in the case of teens, much more valuable.

    6. Christmas cards/family update letters are...

Welcome, welcome, welcome. I archive them so I can track the progress of friends and families. Plus, you never know when you might need blackmail material.

    7. Snow is...

A beautiful pain in the ass. Living in Minnesota, it's also an integral part of our economy.

    8. Have you been a good little boy or girl?

Mostly yes. Just naughty enough to keep the hubby happy.

    9. RAPID FIRE FAVORITES:
    1. Food: Sugar Cookies
    2. Dessert: Pecan Pie
    3. Song: Silent Night
    4. Movie: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
    5. Tradition: Stockings

    BONUS
    Christmas sex:
What have you done under the mistletoe?
Enough to scare the dog and cat.

Have you caught daddy kissing Santa Clause?
No. He prefers younger, less furry men.

Have you done it a santa suit?
No. I need room to move and I sweat too much to wear that much.

Did you come down the chimney?
    Every freaking chance I get.

Just how merry have you made Santa's helpers?
Merry enough to get a big package regularly.

  4. THE WAR ON CHRISTMAS
    1. Which religion or faith do you belong to, if any?
I am a papist through and through. I know, I know, but I was raised a Catholic and love it for all of its strengths and weaknesses.

    2. What is your opinion of seasonal greetings and salutations?
I see nothing wrong with people using religious references if that is what they believe. Nor would I be offended if I received a Happy Hanukah card. To me it is simply an expression of peace and love. It’s all good.

    3. Holiday music on the radio?
Love it. All of it. But December 26th, I don’t want to hear a single carol.

    4. What is your policy for exchanging gifts?
I’ve never exchange a gift. If I get something I don’t like, I donate it (I do not re-gift it either)

    5. Gift cards are...
Practical and if they are for coffee – necessary

    6. Christmas cards/family update letters are...
Love the cards and howl over the letters. It’s all a part of the fun. I also have a lot of friends in the military where letters are customary.

    7. Snow is...
    Religious

    8. Have you been a good little boy or girl?
A really bad boy. Really bad. As in not good and not even deserving of coal.

    9. RAPID FIRE FAVORITES:
    1. Food – Ribbon Candy. I know I am the only one under 80 who likes it. I love it.
    2. Dessert Decorated (iced) cookies
    3. Song Little Drummer Boy
    4. Movie _ Christmas in Connecticut with Barbara Stanwyck
    5. Tradition Remembering Christmases of my past (privately). Reading the Clement C. Moore Twas the night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve.

    BONUS
Christmas sex: What have you done under the mistletoe? Have you caught daddy kissing Santa Clause? Have you done it a santa suit? Did you come down the chimney? Just how merry have you made Santa's helpers?
Ok, apparently, I am late to the whole holiday sex thing. I have never done any of these things. Never even been groped at a holiday party. God, that’s so lame.
