POETRY AND PICTURES: MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

One of my favorite, sexiest, talented bloggers and all-around nice guy is doing the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K walk and is > < closet to making his goal. Visit his blog, if you haven't already, this former Marine likes to post pics of himself in various positions and states of undress in addition to other art forms with interesting point of view.

If you are able, maybe you can help Mike make is goal in addition to finding another great blog to follow.

Such a sweet but wicked smile!

A DOGABLY PAWFECT MUD BATH

I put the doggies out the other day and because it was so nice I propped the door open and left it up to them to come in on their own. BIG MISTAKE! I got involved in a few things and completely forgot until Tramp found me. If it's possible (and I know it is) he was looking very proud of himself and very happy! He was covered in mud.

I had never seen him this muddy. Like a true Cairn, tramp enjoys a good roll in the mud and for some reason a good roll in poop. Especially fresh poop. It's been many years since he rolled in poop but he still likes to get muddy and on this day, he surpassed himself. I would have taken a pic but I just wanted to get him off the carpet and into the sink. Fortunately, there were only a few paw prints to clean up - it could have been so much worse.

I've posted the bath pic before but the post bath pics were all from that day. Truvy's face is worth a thousand words - mostly "No bath. Please, no bath," repeated over and over and over.

Tramp gets very energetic  after a bath. He rarely plays tug of war.

Barking at something. He's so protective!

Truvy is very expressive.
Do I have to tell you that this is her
"I don't want to take a bath too" face?

MEN'S SEXY FEET

TMI ANSWERS: WHO YOU GONNA CALL?

I know it's a camera and not a smart phone but come on - look at him!
WHO YOU GONNA CALL?
1. What kind of smart phone do you have?

A little over a year ago I switched from my 5 year old flip phone to an HTC smart phone and then got the new iPhone 4s out of necessity. I made the switch so I could text and do emails because of my mother's illness and couldn't wait until the iPhone came out on Sprint so I got the HTC. It was very hard to adjust to, not very intuitive and I had a Mac. I would have stuck with the HTC and continued longing for the iPhone but luckily, I got the iPhone as a christmas gift and love it. I find it very intuitive and it works seamlessly with my Mac. I don't need the 5 but will get the 6.

2. Necessity, accessory or my right arm?

Necessity. At first I needed the flexibility of a cell phone for work and because I moved so often, I gave up on landlines and their much more expensive mandatory long distance plans. Currently, I need it for reasons stated above and because I really can't see never having one again.

3. Top three favorite apps?

I'm not a big app person but I use Weather.com, FourSquared, and Pandora the most.

4. How much do you use your smart phone for calling, texting and data (email, games, movies)?

I prefer to use my phone mostly for calls but am texting more and more because the people I have to communicate with are texters. I next used it for reading my emails (mostly comments on Just A Jeep Guy and MEN) but almost never for anything else.

5. Phone sex? Sextexting? Hookup apps?

Yes. Yes - which was weird and unexpected. I've had profiles but only used them for lurking and seeing how close the nearest gay might be. Once as I was looking at who was around, I was at the Raven in New Hope, PA, a guy said hi to me before I knew he was there and we wound up having a drink.

6. Has your smart phone replaced your camera?

Yes and no. Because I have the phone I take so many more pics then I ever would have (especially Inappropriate iPhone Pics) but I would still use my camera for special occasions and trips. This may change as smart phones now have cameras that are almost as good if not better than most entry level+ cameras.

Bonus
It's 3 am. You're in trouble. What's the trouble and who do you call?

Probably no one. I'm one of those people who is always there for others but finds it really hard to ask for help when I need it. When I was living with my BF's I would have called them if I was in a precarious position but I tended to keep my emotions to bottle up.
**Sorry I'm late with this but the week caught up with me so here's a little something to make it up to you.

MEN IN JEANS

ARE YOU WATCHING TONIGHT?

Just for Fun

NEW NORMAL RENEWED!

NBC has renewed The New Normal! This is great news as each episode has built on the previous one and the character development continues to expand and deepen leaving the first impressions of bad stereotypes far behind. And as adorkable as I have always found Justin Bartha, I finding Andrew Rennell quite pleasant to watch. Press Release below:

NBC, which got a jump on the fall season by launching many of its newcomers early September, just handed out renewal notices to three of those, per reports: "Revolution," "Go On," and "The New Normal." No real surprise here, despite soft-ish numbers for "Normal,"  which has improved creatively (meaning, it's actually gotten funny in places) since launch. "Revolution" popped immediately out of the box, thanks to "The Voice" lead-in, and (probably) the J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke names on the book cover. Finally, "Go On," Good show, or certainly promising one, and Matthew Perry — if you can believe it — has his first full season series pickup since "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" (which went 22 episodes before flameout.)

FINAL UPDATE

Mom had her last test and the results were negative (what we were hoping for) and thus was cleared to come home today (Tuesday). It was none too soon as she was starting to bitch and moan about being bored, wanting to go home and just about everything else. MUSIC TO MY EARS! She is actually doing better than she has in a long time. Hopefully this will continue. After 11 days, life returns to some normalcy.

Thanks for all the positive thoughts, prayers and support.

SEXY HOT MUG SHOT WEDNESDAY: LAST DAY TO VOTE 9.26

**SPECIAL NOTICE**
Did you notice my little mistake last week? Blobby did. I was a bit tired, distracted and rushed. I had a younger and years later mug shot of the same guy that I had intended to post side by side, instead I posted both as separate choices. Did you notice? Did you vote for the older or the younger? How is he doing against himself? Go see.

Btw: if you didn't now it already, I have a very hard time distinguishing  people in photos, myself included, thus the mistake. I've made similar mistakes before that other sharp eyed reader have pointed out but never in the same post. I think this one is kinda telling.

GINGER MEN

THIS MAKES ME SAD

This GEICO commercial makes me so sad every time I see it, which has been a lot this past week as the hospital tv, while pretty good, has a remote that makes channel surfing more trouble than it's worth and forget about a DVR. Each time I see it I can't help but think he must really need the money and that he is grasping on to what little fame he can.

As I remember it, and I prefer my memory to what may be a bit more factual, Eddie was a retired NYC detective who scored a few major hits in the late 80's and while he wasn't the best looking, he did have a certain swagger. I kinda liked his music too. I know I never bought one of his CD's but I think I did have one of his cassettes (that sounds soooo old).

THANKS LARGE TONY!

Recently I received a great email from one of my favorite bloggers, Large Tony. His was one of the first blogs I ever read and have continued to read as he has evolved as a writer, blogger and person. Tony's blogs have evolved with him from Large Tony to Life in Mayberry to the current - The Third Leg. You can also follow him on Twitter and see why his name is so appropriate on Tumblr.

It's best to let Large Tony tell you:
Hey Sean,

Your comment on "Mitt Antionette" yesterday happened to be the 1000th comment on "The Third Leg."  To celebrate that milestone, I want to give you a free T-shirt from my LT-Shirt Company.

Just go to ltshirtco.com and browse til you find what you like then let me know which design, size, you want (and where to send it).  You can pick from any of the basic tees.  The ringers and baseball tees are not eligible.

Thanks for reading.
Tony
My reply:
Hey Tony!
That is so awesome! Thank you so much.  What a surprise to be rewarded for doing something that gives me such pleasure - reading your blog! I'd love WOOF PUP in XL please!
thanks again,
Sean

Here are some of the great t-shirts Tony sells at LT-Shirt Co:

Here's his post:

Major Award

Ya’ll didn’t know I had a secret contest going.
Because that’s the way secrets work.
But in the last couple of weeks I noticed that The Third Leg was approaching it’s 1000th comment on posts.
To celebrate the milestone, I decided that whoever hit the 1K mark would win a free t-shirt of their choice from LT-Shirt Company.
And we have a winner!
Sometime yesterday, Sean (who also has a blog) came in at number 1000 with his comment on the Mitt Antionette post.
Congratulations Sean!  I will e-mail you the details concerning your major award.
And thanks for reading and interacting.
If anyone else wants one of my shirts, you don’t have to wait for the next contest.  You can just buy one!
