I am the second only person in America who didnt watch the Golden Globes. I also thought Jodie Foster came out decades ago and I join her in awaiting the return of PRIVACY.
Yes, we need Gay Icons to look up to, but once they do come out publicly, it is in extremely poor taste to make jokes or ribald comments about their private business. One's sexuality is about as private as it gets and public figures deserve the same respect that we private citizens are supposed to give each other.
Sorry, I don't get why everyone thinks that is such a great speech. It is rambling and semi-incoherent, almost as if she is drugged or drunk or both. She came off like an uber-bitch. If being a celebrity was so "hard" for her, then why didn't she quit and do something else? How sad for her that she has made millions and millions of dollars for playing make-believe. The fact that she is still supporting that anti-semitic, racist, homophobe Mel Gibson just proves how irrelevant she truly has become.

We sort of blogged about the same thing...
And of course I missed this. I think I might have been the only person in America not watching the Golden Globes.
Good for her!
I'm so confused. I thought she was one of the first stars to come out, decades ago. I need a scorecard.

Do you hear me, Kathy Griffin et al??
VERY well done! BRAVO, Jodie!
I've loved Jodi Foster since I was a kid. I think she's a class act.
