1. Do you scare easily?

No, not really. I was innoculated against "scares" by my brothers and sister. As the oldest kid, they thought it was HILARIOUS to hide in the barn and scare me or hide under the truck and grab my ankles or jump on my bed when I was asleep and scream. Eventually, my scare threshold became very high; however, I still do not like to have my back to the door.

2. Do believe in ghosts, spirits, etc?

I want to believe but I'm a huge skeptic. I have experienced some unusual moments that I cannot explain but figure it's my lack of understanding and not anything actually supernatural.

3. What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

The Exorcist. My parents took me and my brothers to the Drive-In for a double feature. We were supposed to be asleep before the movie started. I failed to be asleep.

4. Are you scared of things lurking under the bed?

Just the horror of what my husband stores under there.

5. Do you look in the backseat before you get into your car?

Always; however, that's because my dad taught all of us to do that when we started driving.

6. What's the scariest actual/real event you've experienced?

The scariest event in my life was the first time my youngest son had surgery. The anesthesiologist had me hold him while they started the knock out drugs. The doctor failed to explain how my kid would respond so I completely freaked out when he started trembling in my arms, his eyes rolled back into his head, he seized and then went completely limp. Bastard doctor apologized after I started yelling. Bastard.

7. Do you have nightmares?

Yes. Flying (sans airplane) and then falling. Also, I have had a recurring nightmare about vampires since I was a little kid.

8. Do you have any phobia's such as heights, bugs, dogs or cats, flying, etc?

I am extremely phobic about clowns, heights and snakes (the reptilian kind ONLY). The picture at the top of this post is horrifying. Stephen King's "It". Ugh.

What was your scariest sexual experience?

My one and only anonymous sexual encounter. Never knew his name, where he lived or his sero status, plus we didn't practice safe sex. This was back in the mid-80s and I was absolutely certain I had contracted HIV. I refused to have sex for a year (yes, dammit, it was my choice - regardless of what my friends might say) and got tested twice. Needless to say, I never let alcohol control my dick again.

1. no; unless I am concentrating really intently on a project - come up on me too fast and I scream!

2. no

3. 1963, "the haunting" with julie harris.

4. the dust tigers? nah!

5. no

6. just being in an airplane; this is why I have not flown since 1990.

7. I DO have weird dreams after eating italian food (must be the garlic), but I would not call them nightmares.

8. heights, water, tight spaces, huge crowds.

BONUS - getting caught with my then-fiance in a parked car in 1973 (I was in college). my shirt was off and his pants were down...and then the cops showed up with their bright headlights! we were let off with a warning not to come back again; and we didn't!

1. Do you scare easily?

Not usually unless you count sneaking up on me; especially when I am zoned out and off in JeffreyWorld, which has always been an escape mechanism for me.

2. Do believe in ghosts, spirits, etc?

Very much so and retold a recent experience to you in a private email.

3. What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

Nosferatu followed closely by Salem's Lot. I get goosebumps just thinking about them.

4. Are you scared of things lurking under the bed?

Was as a kid. That's where the Boogie Man hid out.

5. Do you look in the backseat before you get into your car?

No, but I think I will now. :>(

6. What's the scariest actual/real event you've experienced?

When I lived all alone in the country, I had a wood-burning back up stove to my heating system and the metal chimney collapsed with a roaring blaze going during a blizzard. Fire extinguishers had expired and wound up shoveling snow into it to out it out. TG I don't live there anymore.

7. Do you have nightmares?

I have bad dreams.. wouldn't call them nightmares but sometimes they wake me up.

8. Do you have any phobia's such as heights, bugs, dogs or cats, flying, etc?

Terrible vertigo and fear of going over bridges, even small ones .. lotta fun living where I do. (NOT)

What was your scariest sexual experience?

Also back in my isolated country existence. An online 'aquaintance' hassled me and hassled me until I finally agreed to let him come over for a tryst. I opened the door to this 6 ft 5" hulk of a guy (bottom) who wanted one thing and one thing only and I was not to touch him in any other way. First time I had every felt threatened or in any kind of danger relative to a hook-up and I stopped letting guys come over prior to meeting on neutral (and safer) ground. Yeah, yeah.. stupid, foolish trusting me and luckily I never got hurt (at least physically.)
